Start by using the crib with a raised base and high sides. As your child grows and begins to stand up, you can lower the base. When your child is ready to get in and out of bed independently, you can remove one section of the side, and then the other. You can quickly and easily transform the crib into a beautiful junior bed by adding the junior kit. These are available separately. With these different settings, the bed has a long life. The crib installed in the open-sided position should not be used as a side bed next to the parents' bed. The bed is not approved as a bedside crib.

Our Leander Classic™ crib is made of molded beech wood. The color of the bed is lacquered over the wood. This means that, in some cases, the wood grain may show through the lacquer.
